How does YDP work?
 
Call for Proposals

The announcement of the competition will be kicked off with a 'call for proposals' stage. As per the call for proposals the eligible organisations should can make the application in the given deadline. All proposals should follow the given proposal application format. The submission should include:

1.
Detailed Proposal in the given format
2.
Copy of organisation's registration certificate (letter of support from school/college in case of school/college based groups)
3.
Copy of organisation's latest audit report where applicable
All proposals must meet the eligibility criteria listed below and be received by 30 April 2006, after which a review process (described below), will select 14 finalists. These finalists will be invited to participate at the national competition workshop.

 

Review of Proposals and Selection of Finalists

Review of Proposals and Selection of Finalists
Incoming proposals that meet the YDP's eligibility criteria will be reviewed by a group of independent jury. Proposals will be evaluated against a set of assessment criteria mentioned below. 30 finalists will be selected and invited to present their projects at the Final Selection Workshop.

 
Final Selection Workshop - Announcement of Winners

The 30 finalist will be invited to the Final Selection Workshop, where an independent jury will evaluate each project. At the end of the event the jury will select 10-20 winning proposals who will receive the funding to implement their projects.

 
Project Implementation

Winners will sign a project agreement that indicates how and when the award money will be disbursed to them. Minitry of Education and Sports and AYON will monitor project performance, give technical assistance, if necessary, and help disseminate lessons learnt to the broader youth and development community.
