Eligibility Criteria

 

Participation
YDP is open to any youth organisations/groups with a good innovative idea to share. According to which Youth-led Organisations (NGOs and CBOs) and youth club run by youths 16-35 years old can apply for the project support.

Areas
To be eligible to compete, proposals must reflect the theme youth in peace and development partnership in any of the following 9 areas:
  • Peacebuilding
  • Agriculture
  • Health
  • Entrepreneurship and Employment
  • Tourism promotion
  • Environmental Conservation
  • Infrastructure development
  • Information Technology
  • Sports
 

Implementation Time Frame
Proposed activities must be completed within 4 months of receiving initial disbursement of funds. The final Report should be submitted by the end of fiscal year 2064-65 (Asar 15, 2065).

Results
The output or results outlined in proposals should be measurable and demonstrate a direct impact on the themes and areas outlined by Youth in Peace and Development Partnership. Projects with the sole final output of research, such as publications, training or conferences/ forums with no directly verifiable results will be ineligible.

Maximum Award Size
Under this program grants ranging from Rs 100,000 (One lakh) to Rs. 300,000 (Three lakhs) can only be supported. Awards to winners will vary in size according to the needs outlined in their proposals. The support amount requested as part of this program should be clearly mentioned in the proposal. Priority will be given to proposals which give more results with less financial support.

Languages
Proposals may be submitted in English or Nepali.
