Chandra Jyoti Integrated Rural Development Society (CIRDS) is operating its activities within its constituencies in Dhading district. Since 1996 this organization has been providing services in the communities by identifying and mobilizing local resources through coordination and partnership with various agencies and non-governmental organizations. The organization is proactive in awareness raising, skill development, women empowerment, forest management, organizational capacity building through the partnership and coordination with UMN Dhading cluster, Nepal Permaculture Group (NPG) and other local organizations. CIRDS is promoting organic agriculture for food security program in partnership with NPG. Others include awareness raising interventions such as HIV/AIDS prevention, awareness against child labor and women health. It also promotes enterprise development project which includes making incense sticks, ginger farming, cattle raising etc. In addition, the organization is also implementing sustainable soil management. |
